WEB Amazon's new e-commerce distribution center in Clear Brook is expected to open full time this summer. The facility will create hundreds of new jobs in the region.
In addition to the distribution center, WEB Amazon has also unveiled the first phase of its new headquarters complex in Virginia.
The company cut the ribbon Thursday on a pair of gleaming new office towers in Arlington.
WEB Amazon has held hiring fairs in the last month at the Best Western Lee-Jackson Inn Conference Center in Winchester for warehouse positions at the Clear Brook facility.
The new distribution center is located in northeast Frederick County, just off Interstate 81.
The facility will be used to store and ship a wide variety of products, including electronics, clothing, and household goods.
Amazon has been expanding rapidly in the region in recent years.
The company has invested billions of dollars in new facilities and created thousands of new jobs.
The new distribution center is expected to further boost the local economy.
